Whether you were a Rough Rider or a Spartan, your pride in your alma mater stretches well beyond graduation. With so many impactful scholarships, student groups and faculty on campus, choosing where to show your support can be a daunting task.
The Case Alumni Association’s YourCase/YourChoice campaign showcases the innovative projects and programs of CWRU engineering and science students and faculty. Each project is reviewed, vetted and selected by a committee before fundraising begins. Check this page for updates on your favorite student groups and scholarships. Like all gifts to the Case Alumni Association, your gift through the YourCase/YourChoice counts as a charitable contribution. See some of our current projects below.
Are you a student group that would like to be considered for YourCase/YourChoice funding?
The Case Fund supports the current and future engineers and scientists by allowing funds to be appropriated at the Dean’s discretion. These funds could be used for scholarships, laboratory upgrades, state-of-the-art technology or many other areas that funds can be used for needed projects. By giving to the Case Fund you are showing your trust and commitment to the Deans.
CASE ROCKET TEAM
The Case Rocket Team, made up of design and aerospace engineering enthusiasts, is aiming higher and winning accolades as it takes its high-powered rockets and the Case brand to national competitions. Members of the student group possess the skills to compete with the best. But they need help covering the costs of materials, tests flights and prototypes. Your support can help the Case Rocket Team soar above the rest.
The Envoys programs of the Case School of Engineering helps stellar students from under-resourced schools discover STEM fields and dive into science. Each year, promising high school students from Cleveland and East Cleveland public schools are selected for immersion into research, mentorship and STEM coursework on Case Quad. The program has proven successful. Since 2006, more than 50 Envoys have gone on to college and many have started STEM careers, one with her PhD. With your support, we can reach many more potential scientists and engineers and help strengthen and diversify our field.
HUMANITARIAN DESIGN CORP.
By empowering communities locally and abroad with sustainable design solutions, HDC strives to create globally minded engineers through practical experience and interdisciplinary outreach. Help support student travel to Malawi, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic as well as materials needed for construction.
Global Health Design Collaborative
The mission of GHDC is to utilize the principles of engineering and medical anthropology to create culturally cognizant, sustainable solutions for primary health care problems in rural Ugandan health care centers and more broadly, low income countries.
The Institute for Smart, Secure and Connected Systems (ISSACS) was launched in 2016 to capitalize on the research and education opportunities of the Internet of Things (IoT). ISSACS was originally conceived as an effort within our Case School of Engineering. As the broader impacts of IoT became clearer – how IoT will underpin the future of cities, businesses, factories, and healthcare – ISSACS was promoted to a university-wide institute to better coordinate efforts not only on the engineering and technical aspects of IoT, but critically, to illuminate the ethical, human, regulatory, and policy implications.
